What do you do at Shopee?
As part of the Warehouse Network Strategy Team, my role revolves around optimising our fulfilment network across the country. We bridge commercial business planning with warehouse operations while managing cross-functional projects that support the growth of our fulfilment business. Our goal is to constantly refine our processes to meet the ever-evolving needs of our buyers, ensuring they receive an enjoyable shopping experience.
What has been the most impactful project you’ve worked on?
Prior to this, I was leading the Marketing Campaigns team, and one of the most exciting projects I spearheaded was Shopee’s Cheapest Price Initiative. Launched in mid-2023, this initiative aimed to solidify Shopee’s reputation as the platform with the best prices while driving daily order growth.
We introduced Lowest Price Guaranteed items, featuring unbeatable deals across various price ranges and even challenged our users – if they could find cheaper deals elsewhere, we would be happy to compensate for the price difference.
This initiative proved to be a huge success, significantly improving Shopee’s brand perception and delivering tangible commercial growth. It was incredibly rewarding to contribute to a priority project that directly benefited both our users and the platform. This success was a testament to the strong collaboration between our Marketing and Business Development Teams, all working together with a user-first mindset.
Having worked with 7 different teams across Shopee, how would you describe the culture here?
Over the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to take on challenges far beyond what I expected as a fresh graduate. Shopee’s fast-paced and empowering culture has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally.
What truly sets Shopee apart is the people—talented, driven, and incredibly supportive colleagues at every level. There’s a strong sense of energy and shared purpose. Learning from my peers has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey here, making every project more meaningful.
What is the biggest takeaway you’ve gained from your role?
Working in a fast-moving industry, we often face unexpected challenges. However, at Shopee, we don’t see obstacles as roadblocks but as opportunities instead. When faced with an issue, we always adapt and seek alternative solutions to push forward.
This mindset has been instrumental in my career. I’ve learned to anticipate risks, adapt quickly, and stay solution-focused in every project I work on.
